HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF TABLE TENNIS SECTION

The history of Table Tennis in Abeokuta Sport Club is as old as the Club itself. The little difference is that it was organised  into a recognized section not until 1990 when existence was formalised.

Members report regular training in the evening almost on a daily basis.
Over the years the section in collaboration with the State Sport Council has produced renowned and international plays like Toriola.

The section has over the year engaged other clubs of similar status in competitions. Among these clubs were Ibadan Recreation Club, Lagos Country Club, Apapa Club, Ikoyi Club, Ijebu Ode Club and Benin Club.

There are also annual competitions among members of the section.

The Club can boast of membership of over 200 and has 2 competition Tables and 3 practicing Tables.
